Maïté Simard
Maïté Simard is a multidisciplinary artist, scholar, and community worker. She works through mediums such as storytelling, theatre and visual arts to create pathways to self-expression and bridge-building between communities. She started her training in performing arts before pursuing her education in the fields of psychology, migration, Arabic language and Middle Eastern studies. Maïté now works as a creative expression interventionist with refugee and asylum-seeker youth, and is a Cultural Studies MA student at Queen’s University in Canada.
